5804. Orlando, Fla. Oct. 16. 27-year-old woman fatally struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
5805. Yonkers, NY. Oct. 25. Pedestrian injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
5806. Flagstaff, Az. Oct. 20. Pedestrian injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.

5814. Mandan, ND. Oct. 27. 16-year-old female injured when struck by an older, dirty, red car (possibly a Pontiac Grand Am) which fled the scene.
5815. Birmingham, Ala. Oct. 27. 24-year-old woman injured when struck by a white Ford Expedition which fled the scene.
5816. Little Rock, Ark. Oct. 26. 47-year-old woman fatally struck by a silver SUV which fled the scene.

NORWALK — A 33-year-old motorist allegedly struck three people while drunk and driving with a suspended license late Friday night and then attempted to evade the scene of the crash, police said.
Hugo Cruz-Gregario, of 9 Hanford Place, was charged with second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, evading responsibility resulting in death, evading resulting in property damage, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating without a license, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and unsafe movement of a motor vehicle. He was held on $750,000 bond and will be arraigned Monday at Norwalk Superior Court.

Los Angeles police looking for additional clues released a video Monday showing a man being repeatedly run over and dragged by a car, but somehow surviving.
The graphic surveillance video shows a white SUV accelerating toward a man standing in the parking lot of Jerry’s Liquor store in 4200 block of South Vermont Avenue in South Los Angeles.
After ramming the 48-year-old man, the vehicle runs over him and then backs over him.
As the vehicle backs over the man, it also drags him.
The driver makes a turn and flees the scene.

Jacksonville police have arrested a man accused of causing a hit-and-run accident that left a 4-month-old boy dead Oct. 18.
Raymond Bernard McArthur, 38, of the 5400 block of Lenox Avenue is charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving a death in the wreck that killed Otha D. Williams. Otha died after being hospitalized with head trauma following the accident at Stockton and Irene streets in Riverside.
An unidentified driver followed the hit-and-run truck to a home on Cherokee Avenue, where police initially detained McArthur, who appeared under the influence of some substance. McArthur came to police with his attorney three days later for his arrest.

Students at San Jose State University are mourning the loss of one of their own. Chi Lam, a 22-year-old, was hit and killed by a suspected drunk-driver who police say left the scene of the accident.
People have left flowers and candles on the sidewalk just a short distance from where Lam was found lying in the middle of the street. He was crossing the road just outside his fraternity house.

Two weeks after a woman riding a bicycle was seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver in Ocean Beach, police are still seeking to identify the make and model of the vehicle involved.
The crash at Sunset Cliffs and West Point Loma boulevards occurred at 1:19 a.m. on Oct. 12. The victim, Katie Leigh Conner, was riding eastbound on West Point Loma approaching Sunset Cliffs when she was struck by a vehicle, possibly a truck, that continued northbound without stopping.
The family has set up a Facebook page, Praying for You Katie Leigh, with updates on her progress as she remains hospitalized.

A Ventura County Sheriff’s deputy killed Tuesday morning in a hit-and-run crash involving a driver suspected of DUI was identified as an 11-year department veteran who pursued his passion for law enforcement after coming to the United States from Ukraine.
