6937. Southampton, Va. Aug. 26. 25-year-old woman injured when struck by a blue minivan which fled the scene.
6938-40. Joliet, Ill. July 19. Two men (24 and 20) and a 19-year-old woman injured when struck by a Honda which fled the scene.
6941. Anchorage, Alaska. July 31. 39-year-old woman fatally struck by an older-model white SUV which fled the scene.
6942-44. Fulton, NY. July 31. Two men (20s and 40s) and a woman in her 40s injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
6945. Hemet, Texas. July 31. 53-year-old man injured when struck by a Ford Ranger pickup, believed to be a 2006 to 2011 body-style, which fled the scene.
6946. Franklin, Ky. July 31. Man critically injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
6947. Ypsilanti, Mich. July 31. Woman injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.

A city train operator was arrested Thursday for fatally mowing down “jeweler to the stars” Aron Aranbayev because the 40-year-old didn’t get out of the street fast enough, officials said.

Police released a sketch of a man wanted for questioning in a deadly hit and run that happened Tuesday evening on Converse Drive in Florence.
74-year-old Martha Day Grainger was hit and killed by a green van after she confronted a person on her property committing a larceny and they fled in the van, according to Lt. Mike Brandt with the Florence Police Department.

BAKERSFIELD, CA – Police need your help finding a hit and run driver involved in a crash that injured a female pedestrian who died last weekend.
Bakersfield police say the crash took place the night of July 15 in the 2600 block of Buck Owens Boulevard. The woman who was struck by the car, Tina Collins, 54, of Bakersfield died Saturday at Kern Medical Center. The car that was involved is described by police as an older model station wagon.

Morristown Police say 16-year-old Amy Cupp was walking down the street with her mom Christal when a man ran them over.
Amy was a special needs student at Morristown East High School.
Rhonda Utt, who’s taught Amy for the last few years, isn’t sure how to tell the rest of the class the bad news when school starts next week.
“She was the person who always remembered someone needed something extra in class. So she just had a kind heart, and wanted to help anybody she possibly could,” Utt says.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Police are looking for a woman suspected of running a man over after a fight at a Southeast Portland fast food restaurant.
Investigators said they think Elisha Rae Hanson had an altercation with Kevin McNerney, 48, just before he was struck in a Taco Bell parking lot at SE 126th Avenue and Division Street on Wednesday, July 22.
McNerney is still listed in critical condition.
Portland Police said Hanson was driving a dark-colored 2012 or 2013 Chevrolet Equinox SUV with yellow Oregon disabled veteran license plates.
