6967. Fort Collins, Colo. Aug. 5. Person in wheelchair injured when struck by a black Pontiac which fled the scene.
6968. Columbus, Ga. Aug. 6. 17-year-old male fatally struck by a Volvo sedan which fled the scene.
6969. Orange County, Fla. Aug. 5. 17-year-old male on bicycle fatally struck by a blue 2013 Dodge Dart which fled the scene.
6970. Indianapolis, Ind. Aug. 6. Woman critically injured when struck by a truck which fled the scene.

Shortly after helping a woman in a wheelchair Tuesday night near her apartment complex on the city’s east side, relatives and police said, the mother of three was fatally struck by two vehicles . She was just hours from celebrating her 37th birthday.
Now, relatives are struggling to pay for her funeral and begging the drivers involved in the hit-and-run to come forward.
“Accidents do happen, but you still have to be more considerate of the victims,” said another cousin, Uakela Thomas. “They need to put themselves in people’s shoes like that. It could’ve been their loved ones. They would also want answers. They would want someone to turn themselves in if it was one of their family members.”

LOS ANGELES — Police in Hemet released graphic video Monday of a man being run over by his own car during an apparent road-rage confrontation, in the hope it might lead to the arrests of two men involved in the hit-and-run, KTLA reports.

A man is still recovering in the hospital after a truck hit his motorcycle and then took off. Police say the driver drove away and left the man for dead. The accident happened late last month in North Kansas City.
Police are still looking for the driver who slammed into Daren Stewart and then drove off. Stewart is currently in the hospital with a broken arm and leg.
