The Appleton Police Department is releasing new video of a hit and run near Lawrence University. Now officers are hoping for your help to catch the runaway driver.
It’s been almost a week since a 19-year-old woman was hit near campus and no one has come forward. Police are hoping for help from the public to identify the driver while the student still recovers in the hospital.
“If you’re involved in a crash you need to stay there,” said Sergeant David Lund with the Appleton Police Department.

About 8:15 p.m. Monday, Jesus Barrueta-Dominguez, 35, was driving a maroon 2008 Chevrolet Lumina eastbound on West Brown Street when he rear-ended a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina stopped at a stoplight at the intersection of South Cuyler Street, Massey said. Barrueta-Dominguez fled the scene before authorities arrived and Massey said Monday morning that Barrueta-Dominguez may have headed to Canadian or Oklahoma City.
A 4-year-old boy who was a passenger in the Lumina was transported by hospital to Pampa Regional Medical Center and then taken by Lifestar to Northwest Texas Hospital where he is listed in critical condition, Massey said. The driver of the ’98 Lumina, Armando Acosta, 29, was not injured in the crash, and passengers Maria Dela-Cruz, 36, and an eight-year-old girl were hospitalized and released from the medical center, Massey said.

The basketball player was treated at a hospital after he hit his head on the windshield of the car that allegedly hit him, the Orlando Sentinel reported Tuesday.

Friday night my nephew who is 12 years old was crossing the street at West Chester Pike and Cedar Lane in Upper Darby, When a car who had no headlights ran through a red light and hit him. The person never stopped to see if he was OK or even still alive. My nephew Thank god only has a broken leg, mild concussion, and his face is all bruised and scraped up. Sumner Police announced an anonymous donor is offering $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, prosecution and conviction of the subject of this investigation.
Rachel Givens, 23, was killed by a hit-and-run driver 11 p.m. Oct. 5 while she was attempting to cross East Valley Highway in the 2700 block.
The vehicle, which surveillance indicates was a small, dark-colored sedan or sports car, was traveling northbound. The Sumner Police Department continues to investigate, but a specific suspect has not been identified.

GONZALES — Trincia Mae Beene, 43, of Gonzales, was arrested and charged with Accident Involving Death, a second degree felony after she allegedly ran over 65-year-old Cipriano Morin near the intersection of Hamilton and Tate Streets in Gonzales.

“Even a car traveling the speed limit at 30 miles per hour, hits somebody it’s going to do some severe injuries and it all matters on what part of the body hits the car, how do they land,” said Lt. Hoey.

INDIANAPOLIS – A pedestrian, a driver and an Indianapolis police officer were hospitalized early Wednesday after a hit-and-run crash on the city’s east side, police said.

The teenager more seriously injured in the March accident involving off-duty Manchester police Sgt. Stephen Coco was actually run over by the undercover police vehicle, and DNA tests were used to identify the boy’s blood on the undercarriage, his father said Monday.
Roy Drukker said his son — Dean Drukker, 18 — probably would have died in the hit-and-run accident had his son’s companion, Noah Hickman, not been conscious and able to summon help. Hickman was also hit in the accident.
“The real seriousness of this issue is running off,” Drukker said. “You run over the top of Dean, and you leave the scene, and you seem to have no concern if he’s alive or dead.”
Coco has been accused of hitting Drukker and Hickman with the undercover police vehicle on the night of March 22, after leaving a gathering in Drukker’s Bedford neighborhood. Earlier this year, Bedford police charged Coco with two felony counts of conduct after an accident, the legal wording for the more commonly known charge of hit and run.

A 74-year-old Glendale woman has died from injuries she suffered after she and a friend were struck in a crosswalk by a hit-and-run driver on Oct. 3, police said Tuesday.
Serpouhi Gharapetian suffered major head injuries and was in a coma until she died Oct. 9 at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, according Tahnee Lightfoot, Glendale police spokeswoman.
“My sister, she’s gone,” her brother, Roobik Gharapetian, said.
She died roughly an hour after he arrived from Canada in the hopes of seeing her, he said.
Now he and her two sons are waiting for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office to release her body so they can plan her funeral.

(SUMMNER, WA) — Police in Sumner have requested the public’s help in solving a fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred on the East Valley Highway.
The accident happened Saturday, October 5 just before 11:00 pm. The victim, Rachel Givens, 23, was trying to cross the East Valley Highway in the 2700 block of the highway when she was struck by a car which did not stop and left the scene heading northbound on the highway.

“He remembers it very well. He was conscious for the whole endeavor,” Staff Sgt. Michael Stroud, who was also struck, told FOX 9 News.
It’s been nearly a month since the two Army recruiters were struck by a man who shouldn’t have been at the wheel, but Torgerson’s recovery is still a day-by-day process.
“Doing a lot better than he was initially,” Stroud continued. “I’ve visited him in the hospital. He’s making good progress and recovery. It’s going to be a long road and a lot of damage.”

Nassau County Judge Jerald S. Carter had cautioned the family of Dean LaLima that no sentence he could impose could fill the “hole in their soul” at their loss Thursday morning. Still, LaLima’s father John and his sister pleaded through cracked voices and teary eyes to impose the maximum allowable sentence on Raymond Kalenka, who stood in court in handcuffs to be sentenced for a hit-and-run that claimed the Williston Park resident’s life one early morning in 2012.

Paramedics transported 17 students with minor injuries to Children’s Hospital in New Orleans following a hit-and-run crash involving a school bus at the foot of the Crescent City Connection Thursday afternoon. The wreck occurred about 4:30 p.m. just past the toll plaza on the east bank-bound span of the bridge, Louisiana State Police said.

The accident happened back on Aug. 21st.
Police say the 36-year old victim was getting out of her car on Slocum Way in Fort Lee when she was struck.
