5817. Upper Chichester, Pa. Oct. 28. Woman in her 70s injured when struck by a tan Ford Explorer which fled the scene.
5818. Nunica, Mich. Oct. 25. Man dressed like a zombie injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
5819. Bakersfield, Cal. Oct. 26. 15-year-old male injured when struck by a white sedan which fled the scene.
5820-22. Santa Ana, Cal. Halloween. Three 13-year-old girls, including twins, were fatally struck by a Honda SUV which fled the scene.
5823-24. Philadelphia, Pa. Nov. 1. 80-year-old woman and another pedestrian injured when struck by a vehicle which fled the scene, but stopped shortly thereafter.
5825. Philadelphia, Pa. Nov. 1. Woman in her 20s injured when struck by two vehicles which fled the scene.
5826. Statesboro, Ga. Oct. 29. 20-year-old man injured when struck by an unidentified vehicle which fled the scene.
5827. Caernarvon Twp., Pa. Halloween. 56-year-old woman on bicycle fatally struck by a large commercial van which fled the scene.
5828. Rolling Meadows, Ill. Oct. 28. Man injured when struck by a dark, possible black, BMW series 3 from between 2000 and 2005 which fled the scene.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Sandra Eagleson will never forget the last message she sent her husband.
“I texted him and was like, ‘Are you OK?’ And he never replied,” she said.
That night, on Oct. 19, Newport Beach police told her 30-year-old Shaun Eagleson had been hit by a truck while riding his bike.
She ran to the hospital, where an officer stopped her at the door.
“And I just said, ‘Just tell me he’s alive …’ He shook his head and said, ‘I’m so sorry,’ ” she remembers.
Eagleson never dreamed her husband’s favorite ride along PCH from Fountain Valley to Newport Beach would cost him his life.
“The moment I saw him I felt like I died, too,” she said.

Oregon State Police are still looking for the driver suspected of striking and killing Jarred Houston, 21, and Robert Calvin, 41, on U.S. 199 near Cave Junction one year ago.
The two men were hit by a pickup truck on Oct. 30, 2013, about two miles south of Cave Junction, after reportedly fighting in the southbound lanes of the highway. OSP said the vehicle left the scene and continued southbound after hitting the two men.
